PROTECT & IMPROVE OUR
QUALITY OF LIFE
Tustin’s character and way of life is special. It deserves to be protected and supported. As your City Council member, I consider the impact on our quality of life with every decision.
Key goals include:
-
Clean streets and sidewalks
-
High-quality, usable open space
-
Safe parks and schools for our children
-
Exceptional recreational activities and programs
-
Local events that celebrate our community and history
-
Support local businesses and community non-profits
As your City Council member, I have consistently championed the cause of public safety. I am proud to announce the addition of new police officers and the establishment of a new substation in Tustin Legacy. We have also made significant investments in advanced tools and equipment to enable our police force to effectively protect our community and prevent crime.
SMART GROWTH
What is our legacy?
Covering approximately 1,600 acres, Tustin Legacy is a vital part of our City’s future. Developing the remaining portions is crucial not only for the City’s financial strength but also for enhancing community vibrancy through new parks and amenities. For instance, we are currently constructing our first dog park and have recently completed Alley Grove Park, which features two new pickleball courts. Additionally, we are designing multiple new pedestrian bridges and parks to increase walkability within Tustin Legacy. Other recently completed or planned projects include:
- The Goddard School – Preschool and Daycare
- The Landing – 400 homes
- Confluent – 264 Senior Congregate Care Facility
- Advantech North America HQ
- Saddleback@ATEP – new Advanced Transportation and Culinary Arts Departments
- Area G – up to 700 for sale units (north of Moffett); in planning
INVEST IN OUR HISTORIC OLD TOWN
A flourishing Old Town is a benefit to all residents, which is why investing in Old Town has been a major focus during my time on City Council. Since being elected, we have seen significant progress in Old Town, including:
- Development of a community garden
- New summer community event (Sunset Market)
- Implementation of new City code to encourage outdoor dining
- Approval of new infrastructure consisting of parklets, signage and road improvements scheduled for construction in 2025
- New virtual historic walking tour
- New businesses and events such as the OC Book Fair
As your District 4 representative, I will ensure the City works with businesses, property owners and residents to identify the best ways to continue this investment in our future to deliver a vibrant Old Town.
